The first stages of any spiritual awakening is to first be aware of and heal your human self. This is your foundation and grounding point of your entire current ‘self’ experience and it needs to be solid, healed and stable. Otherwise, trying to venture ‘beyond’ it will be a hellish mental experience (if you manage to get beyond it at all.)
Why? Yourself-state will not be able to handle everything that happens and it will most likely either snap (hello mental hospital). Or your unhealed state will twist it all around and you will go down one of a few possible paths.
First is fear-based. Your fears grow and you delve into victimhood as you pick up the ‘fight’ to the things you imagine are trapping and oppressing you. Whether is be the ‘prison planet’ or ‘Team Dark’ or simply something of a more ‘earthly’ nature, the duality inside grows as you battle within your unhealed self. Focus is on the negative, escaping, being a victim.
Second is the growth of the ‘Spiritual Ego’. This is the illusion of ‘action’ and ‘information’ being progress. The minds reality and ‘self’ grows with the illusion of what it thinks is and knows. This is where we see people such as the ‘I am here to save you all’, ‘I did a course’ and the ‘I am enlightened in 3 months’. Oh and the ‘For £500 I can enlighten you too!’ people, cant forget them. Focus is on their own importance and spreading and sharing how enlightened they are
Trust me, people that have been doing their work and progressed significant CAN tell the difference and you will stick out like a sore thumb regardless of the path.
Rather then coming across as a ‘Spiritual Master’ you will just look an unaware, self-illusioned fool. Rather then enlightening people to their oppressors, you will just look like an unawakened person that is under full control of their fear that is trying to spread like a virus.
Harsh? Yes, but that is the truth. I have seen so many of them over the last decade.
So what makes one ‘Awakened’?
A Spiritual Awakening is not an event, it is a slow progression.
Chanting mantras does not make you awakened.
Doing yoga does not make you awakened.
Knowing about spirits and energy does not make you awakened.
‘Knowing’ a/the lie told by governments does not make you awakened.
They are something you do or something you ‘know”
Awakened is something you are being. It is your state of awareness and consciousness. It is not of the mental mind.
So what is the first step?
Self awareness is the first step to a spiritual awakening. You cannot be awakened if you are not self aware. Being aware is not the same as being awakened. They are two different steps.
Self-awareness is not being aware of what is around you, of what you can see or hear. Though practicing this can be a good start to hone your awareness.
It is about the fact you can see, again, not ‘knowing’ you can see, but ‘aware’ of the fact. It is about the fact you are aware of that awareness. Personally, I found awareness was like taking a step back.
I am aware of a tree. I am aware I am seeing the tree. I am aware of my seeing. I am aware that something is aware of the seeing. etc. You can use this with many things, not just seeing ofc. ‘Seeing’ is just an example.
‘Complete’ self-awareness (for lack of a better term) is when you are aware of your existence as that awareness. You are aware you exist, but not as the body or human self. Something else is present that is aware of all this. Again, its not ‘knowing’, which you get from reading this, this is just to help you understand the progression, like a step by step way.
