A Word on Kundalini – (Updated)
Kundalini has become a buzzword that people are jumping on the bandwagon to ‘try’, usually without any actually awareness of what it is they are asking. The question is ‘how do I activate my kundalini?’ Well, in fact there is a relatively simple and easy answer to this that many do not like:
Leave it and it will activate when its ready
Simple isnt it?
As such this might be a short article!
Is There Anything You can do in the meantime?
There sure is. You start to do energy healing work, the very thing Kundalini will do. However you can do it at a more peaceful and less dramatic way that will not result in you need medical and mental help. Yes, it will take a while, energy healing is no short term thing. It is also something that, ideally, should be life long.
You can start by reading this articles and the articles they link to.
However, many want it now and do not understand it is a part of a process, not the start of one.
So What is Kundalini?
Kundalini is the name of an energy that performs a major upgrade to your energy systems, via the awakening of a dormant energy usually felt around your tailbone or back of your legs (as you sit). Usually this then travels up from the spine (or sometimes down from the crown) with various sensations such as extreme heat, extreme cold, electric shock, some have even described it as a freight train that knocked them to their knees.
I have felt it as a sensation I can only describe as an upward running pool of water and occasional spots of a taste of ‘spearmint’ on my back. yes, tasting spearmint.. on my back, not in my mouth..
From here it makes its way up and down your spine, into the chakras, around the body creating changes that bring along masses of physical, mental, emotional and energetic symptoms. This entire process can last years.
Now, this is an ‘upgrade’ and as such, an unprepared being (physical, mental, emotional, energetic) that has not already made some progress in these ways might not be able to handle it – hence you can have what is often call a Kundalini Crisis if you force it and are not ready – Hence I recommend what I said at the beginning.
If you are meant to activate your kundalini in this life time, it will happen when its ready. When it is ready, means when when Spirit knows we are ready to handle it, not when we ‘think’ we are ready or when we just want it.
Kundalini has a life of its own, it knows what to do, more then anything we THINK we know or want it to do. When it happens, just surrender and allow.
Hence the idea of ‘forcing’ it to rise is never a good idea, there is a process and plan in place for a reason. If we could just ‘do’ things of the bat then wouldn’t we skip right to the end in an instant? Why would we then go through process after process which takes years?
We need to grow, to be a suitable vessel, to be able to ‘handle’ the energies, the frequencies and vibrations of being in such state that it brings. To be mentally and emotional stable with an open mind and suitably expanded consciousness to be able to handle the expanded Experience this brings.
Carry on with your path, carry on with your regular energy practice, work, healing. This is what lays the foundation to open for the Kundalini to trigger by itself. Once triggered, this will continue to help and aid the kundalini in its movements, you are both moving in the same direction, so to speak.
There is NO one thing (I am thinking kundalini yoga right now) that you MUST do. Do not fall into the consumer/systems trap of ‘must have/do’ take your money or to draw you into their system.
My kundalini started by itself over a decade ago and all I have ever done is the work described on this website.
I have used no mantras, or poses, yoga, mundras or anything else.
My kundalini has been slow and steady, only ever ONCE been at what I would call ‘overwhelming’ which was a night of overwhelming cramps and heat going up my back with a raised body temperature.
Slow and steady allows for gentle change and adaptation.
Kundalini is often sought after but rarely understood and accepted for what it is. Helps others by sharing this post.

Waking The Infinite
Same; no guru, no teacher, no method. The energy is my teacher. I do think there is a path to preparation, but the rules have changed a lot and what worked for the Indians or Taoists don’t apply for this new breed coming along (about a decade ago, right?). Anyway…just stopping to say “sing it!”

Thank you for your comment! Yes as a species we have evolved so the old ways are getting just that, old. That and the vibration of the spirit/soul/consciousness coming in these days are higher so their energy forms are already advanced beyond many of them.
